This month, Allure’s senior editor Patrick Rogers got the scoop on the favorite drugstore hair, skin, and makeup products of Hollywood stars and New York City moguls. With advancements in skin-care and hair-care science and more competition between beauty companies than ever before, there’s just an abundance of great, inexpensive products. As editor and chief Linda Wells wrote in her editor’s letter this month, “‘Cheap’ no longer carries the taint of ‘inferior.'” Here are few favorites we share with the high rollers:
. Ives Fresh Skin Invigorating Apricot Scrub, $4.99 “They were using this [at a nail salon] on my feet and legs and it really worked,” says supermodel Iman of the bargain face exfoliator, which she now uses daily after her workouts.
L’Oréal Paris Voluminous Waterproof Mascara in Black, $7.50: “I love it—I use it on my way out the door and also on the set of Damages,” says Bridesmaids actress Rose Byrne.
